Eight days to Honduras…Do you see what I see?

Carrie Underwood sings a song “Do you hear what I hear?”

Here is a portion of the lyrics:

“Said the night wind to the little lamb

Do you see what I see

Way up in the sky little lamb

Do you see what I see

A star, a star

Dancing in the night

With a tail as big as a kite

With a tail as big as a kite”

I am always so excited to have other people join me on Impact teams because I want them to see what I see and hear what I hear.

Why?

Because, it is not possible to truly know how to help with needs without seeing the real needs.

Do you see what I see? The hungry child who struggles every day to eat.

Do you see what I see? The teen strung out on sniffing glue fighting everyday to fight off the sting of hopelessness

Do you see what I see? The mom who sees her child walk down the dusty road, knowing that she can’t provide both food and education for her child she loves from the depths of her heart.

So my third reason I am excited to go back to Honduras in just 8 days is taking other people to help them understand these challenges and become a voice for those who often feel they have no voice.

On this trip I am blessed to have 10 other eyes and 10 other ears who can become champions for others!
