Six days and counting….Feeding centres for kids

A friend once said this, “when I get to heaven, I want to ask God why He made us to eat more than once a day. If people only needed to eat that regularly there would be a lot less problems in He world.”

The reality is when a person can only eat one meal a day, (so many would consider this a luxury) it has a very negative impact on people’s lives. The truth is not being able to eat healthy food regularly negatively impacts people’s lives.

Have you ever thought of food as giving people dignity? Or hope? Or the ability to dream of a better future? That’s why I believe so much in our Boaz 100,000 meal love story.

The money we are raising to make an impact in people’s lives will be used at our feeding centres in Honduras. We will go there and be able to supply much needed funding for these families to eat. Meals of hope, love and a future.

I often listen to a song by Matthew West, “Do Something”, his words challenge me:

I woke up this morning

Saw a world full of trouble now, thought

How’d we ever get so far down, and

How’s it ever gonna turn around

So I turned my eyes to Heaven

I thought, “God, why don’t You do something?”

Well, I just couldn’t bear the thought of

People living in poverty

Children sold into slavery

The thought disgusted me

So, I shook my fist at Heaven

Said, “God, why don’t You do something?”

He said, “I did, yeah, I created you” (now listen)

If not us, then who

If not me and you

Right now, it’s time for us to do something, yeah

If not now, then when

Will we see an end

To all this pain

Oh, it’s not enough to do nothing

It’s time for us to do something

I’m so tired of talking about

How we are God’s hands and feet

But it’s easier to say than to be

Live like angels of apathy who tell ourselves

It’s alright, “somebody else will do something”

Well, I don’t know about you

But I’m sick and tired of life with no desire

I don’t want a flame, I want a fire and

I wanna be the one who stands up and says

“I’m gonna do something”

We invite you to join us in helping feed these precious kids.

As of today we have a commitment for 21,480 meals!
